It's not shit talking, it's true. And btw there is a defuse sound, but only that of the briefcase opening like in cod4. Additionally the radius the sound is audible is smaller.

Try putting cg_fovscale 1.125 in your config. If that doesn't work maybe it's the mod simply setting the dvar and not writing it to your config.

atm i think you can only set it via the menu, but also you could try making your config read only after you change cg_fovscale to 1.125 in ur config (make sure you copy over your original config to the one in your /players/mods folder).

Maybe this can help you: Uncheck the Read-Only Box for your config_mp
