I'm banned on mw2 because of liberation and I can still play css,tf2,l4d2 and alien swarm. Explain that please.

Also I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the steam FAQ that a mw2 ban is mw2 only.

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_arti...9#vacgames

Quote:Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
VAC is enabled on all multiplayer servers, public and private. Any modifications to the game other than editing config files can result in a VAC ban. Examples of such modifications include but are not limited to console enablers, VAC disablers, and server hosting mods.
A VAC ban in Modern Warfare 2 only affects Modern Warfare 2.

Why are you lying while trying to sell / trade a steam account. That doesn't work you know.

I'm not lying. I must've fucked something up and forgot to restart steam before entering another game.
Why are you always assuming the worst?

BurtonJ said anything that modifies VAC will pretty much get you a global ban. And im too lazy to find the source.

yes bans are engine based and since mw2 has its own engine your ban will only affect mw2.

but...

if you played mw2 and hosted via liberation, stopped playing mw2 and starting another game then vac also triggers on the games that you start after using liberation cause the module is still modified!
thats why its always recommended to restart steam if you used lib and want to play another game!
