My only legit VAC ban ever was for MW2. The day after they switched from a dynamically loaded VAC module to a manually mapped module I was banned since I was only blocking the dynamic load, not the manual mapping.

All other Steambans I've ever encountered were accounts that were manually disabled for several reasons.
