DISCLAIMER: I did not read the whole thread so gtfo if I am posting something already posted
You should make MySQL table on your/borrowed (but as you understand yours is better) server and then manage the table using VB.NET app. Google 'VB.NET MySQL' that will give you everything you need for further use. Managing these tables is extremely easy, especially if actual table is already setup and ready to work (managable)
