I use paint.net which has native support for DDS and you can hard set to any of the DDS internal formats as well as disable mipmaps.

mad , also guys i'd say its best to use dds or tga when making your iwi's , jpeg's & png's can do funny things when you convert them.

when i run it i get this error: --------------------------- Tom_IWIViewer.exe - Application Error --------------------------- The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- my win is windows 7 - 64 bit and up to dated... whats problem?!
