Help How to use GSC files

In all the mods you see maps and in the end you see a GSC file. how to inject / use them. When are they working. Can you get banned?

All those questions nice to know for players who are new to this and are very interested.

+ you cant get banned for modding or playing them cause trollarch now officially supports modding.
