Yes, it was announced, it will be released in 2013, soon after the New Year eve, don't remember the exact date. Since I am too lazy (and don't actually have time) - search for info yourself, this is just a notification thread without any exact information inside, therefore may require moderation. Thank you, Gabe, let's wait for 2013.

EDIT: k, fuckyo, I will write the most important thing ONLY - it will have free opened world (that is absolutely new to Half Life series). k, now thats all. find info and moderate this thread. Congratulations, finally it was announced.

Do you guys think they're going to introduce a totally new game engine with HL3? Like source 2, and not just an updated version of source like they did with portal 2/cs:go?
