Computer randomly crashes
#11
What @zxz0O0 said: Try memtest. But if that one crashes you still don't know if it's the memory or something else.

Just run Linux from a CD and see if that one crashes within 1 hour as well.

Maybe you're lucky and it's a cheap problem: format c: will fix it.

@DidUknowiPwn About a year, 1 1/2 year maybe

Ok so MOBO is out of the question. What other parts are more than a year old in your system? Specifically your RAM andHDD.

how can the age of an item could be the reason that a PC wont start anymore?

as zxz said, try memtest86+ and/or try another power supply

I've had this power supply for almost 3 years.. I don't see how that could be the problem. Also the fact that it restarts directly after a crash. I did the memory test build in to windows yesterday, there were no problems (should I still try the memtest86?). I reformatted C: and D: when I reinstalled windows.

I have been trying to do virus scans, but it generally crashes before the scan finds any viruses. I'm also monitoring my computer's temperature..

Do you have a spare PSU that you can replace with the one you're using.
