 [Idea] RPG Mod
This isn't really a preview or anything, it's just an idea for something I might make.
I'm not a very experienced modder, so if anyone else thinks this is a good idea for a mod they can help me. But please consider that if you're no better than me you'd be of little help. PLEASE NOTE: SOME OF MY IDEAS MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE AT ALL IN GENERAL MODDING, AGAIN, I'M INEXPERIENCED AND THESE ARE JUST IDEAS So the basic idea is something along the lines of the WC3 mod for Counter-Strike. You start off by choosing one of four races. After X kills you level up and can upgrade one of your 4 abilities. It's that simple. The abilities work like this: Passive - Something that has a constant effect on you. Aura - Something that has a constant effect on the allied players close to you. Active - A timed ability that can be activated once every X seconds. Ultimate - You can only acquire this ability after X levels, and you have to reach X killstreak to activate it. I was thinking something along the lines of this for the abilities: (note some of the names derive from WC3 and can be changed to suit players unfamiliar with WC3) Race........Passive...........................Aura ......................Active.................Ultimate Human:....Partial Invisibility.............Damage resistance...Invulnerability......One Shot Kill Orc:.........Partial Damage Deflect....Increased damage....Cloak+Speed.......Death Machine Undead:...Partial Health Steal..........Ammo restocking.....Teleportation.......Freeze enemies Night Elf:..Increased Speed.............Slow healing............Slowing Bullets....Turn off enemy abilities The point of the abilities is that they are very weak and last for very short the first time you upgrade them but become more and more useful for every time you upgrade them. So, do you think this would be even remotely possible to create? If not then please specify.

Yeah that's right I only just began this, if no properly experienced modder stumbles over this and likes it, I wouldn't get my hopes up...
Very glad to see people are showing interest though
