You can't hack your rank. End of story.

At the end of the match, your rank will be saved on the servers of treyarch. When you change your xp with any program like cheatengine you will see that it has changed BUT you will be kicked in each match with an error.

Unless you can sync your "modded" xp to the servers of treyarch there is no way to mod your xp.
The stats are clientside, via some hash it's verified on the server though and the EULA you agreed to gives Treyarch the right to brick the game for you (attempt to chabge your stats). So don't try it unless you really know what you are doing.
Otherwise they WILL know you tried/did it.

Stats are stored clientside or modified in a clientside way?
Why not just modify you XP while actually in a Public match, if you say it saves at the end of games, the connection between you and the treyarch server stats wise will be stoppedn, you change your XP in-game, and maybe it will save, but, i know it would VERY likely cause a VAC ban (stupid live memory editing crap here)

You answered your own question.

Chances are you won't be b& as long as you don't do something retarded, but I don't know if it works either.
