As you heard, today a closed beta test of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (release 2012) started. Official web-site of project is www.counter-strike.net

There, at FAQ section I found a VERY interesting thing:

A) Yes, there will be a new SDK available after the full game has been released. During the beta you can start laying out your map ideas with the current Counter-Strike: Source SDK.

Heard that? One more time...

CS:GO runs on the same engine as Portal 2 I assume. You can make maps for Portal 2 in the SDK we have already.

I think its just an update to the SDK, some of the icons look awful and outdated.

anyway CS: GO looks MUCH MORE BETTER than games you can make using old SDK.
tech side was strong but graphic sucked. now it is much better, if comparing
