This happens so often.
Why do they always presume you speak their language?

I do not know about Germany, Netherlands, any other European country since I do not live there, but in Russia nearly 90% of players are kids less than 12 years old. That do not know English enough to talk to foreigners and are not clever enough to understand that English is international language nowadays and NO SPEAK ENGLISH = GTFO.

I always ask Russians - who at least know how to speak English without using a internet translator - why most Russians got poor English, if you compare to other countries. The answer is always something with "corruption in the country".
From "real life" sources, I've always got a different answer, one of them was that English isn't as acceptable in Russia as in other countries.
No, it's not only Russians, but mostly. If you look at the typical American US kid, he'll always expect people who don't speak English as their native language to speak fluently English, even though he spells awfully (a typical US kid mixes up "your" and "you're" in internet chat more often than foreigners, I've noticed).

This happens since Russians do not know English as their native language (obviously) and if they have learnt English they will write correctly (in most cases). And US kids think that they speak TRUE ENGLISH, that's why they do not even try to avoid mistakes.
