It might be that when the humans are doing great they create so many barricades the game crashes

No Idea what the limit is, it depends on how much scripting goes along with each barricade.
But it shouldn't be hard to add a barricade counter to the top of the screen, make them free, and spam until crash

I don't think it's barricades, i've noticed it sometimes crashes in the ready-up period before anyone has any points for barricades.
