Well, just wondering what you guys think.
If MW3 doesn't support dedicated servers and only gives us the ability to play mods through the use of private games would you stay around making mods for black ops since well, being able to play them 24/7 compared to needing someone to host is obviously a lot better
So yeah, what do you think you would do?
I just want MW3 to have dedicated servers honestly but if not i'd hang around black ops for playing mods/making them (once i get into it of course) and just play mw3 for normal gameplay

I won't be modding anything if MW3 has no dedicated servers, I'll probably stop and just go back to playing games for fun instead of comp wise, unless ofc BO takes off with promods coming out soon.
i dont see any reason to stop modding even if there were no dedicated servers. you can be your own dedicated server 24/7 as private host, makes no difference to me.
tools like lobbytracker which was used with mw2 could be still possible when mw3 will be released
I didn't mean to stop modding I just meant modding black ops still instead of moving on to mw3. While those tools are useful many people don't know about them and a dedicated server is always better (my opinion at least) Glad to see people determined I was looking for a good modern game to mod and it seems like the cod games may be it. Also can you carry mods over after you convert things like guns and such to the new one or are they written differently? (I wasn't there for the mw2 > black ops change) I just think after a year needed to rewrite everything from scratch would be annoying so yeah, are things potted over with similar code? (probably should have made a separate thread ^^)
