If they would've counted it right but they skipped 200 years so we are actually in the year 1811 now and the prophecy is about the year 2012 and not 1812.

yes the maya calander stops at 2012 but does that has to mean the world ends? or could it just be that they couldn't expand it because they were wiped out?
