System Requirements?
#1
Hey guys

I tried googling for this and didnt find the answer to my question. As far as i read there is no linux support for dedi servers atm. This might be a little problem for me due to my root server not really being uber pro Tongue. If i will have to run a Windows im not sure if i will have enough power in the box Smile. Can anyone tell me how much mem and processor power is needed to run this smoothly with up to 18 players? My interwebz connection should not pose a problem.

Thanks for any help on this and also your hard work Smile

I think it wouldn't need so much extra power than a normal server.

It is possible to run it under Linux but you need wine

Edit: Since you are posting this is Server Addon section I assume you want to use the Server Addon and currently it only works under Windows.

Dual core 2.2 with 4GB of DDR2 RAM. Ill have to run a IIS webserver hosting 2 websites. They both get low traffic.

Can you guys check on your systems what load the COD dedi server generates when it has some people on it please? Also did anyone try it on W2K8?

Edit: I know i have enough power for eitner Win7 or W2K8 plus the webpages. I just have no idea how much the dedi COD server will eat up.

Thanks for your answers

I'm not sure but I think that should be enough. (Can't you just try it?)

When I run the server, without people in it it uses like 00-01% cpu (I've 3.2ghz 6core) and 202mb ram
