You need to have a legit copy of the game for every player, even when you LAN.

No discussion about Tekno is allowed here.

but guys you're not getting what im saying
i mean to say if i buy legit game its an option
about LAN for offline no need internet?

the mw3 dedicated server addon allows you to host a lan game (pretty sure i am right)
buy a legit copy, follow the steps on how to set up your own dedi, download the mw3 serv addon from itsmods and you should be fine

Ontopic - No, you can't play LAN mode @Steam version.

.... but you can try to create Server with @Nukem 's addon and try to connect from another computer which is connected to the same network.

You do need a copy for every person player. Everyone needs a steam account with mw3 on it, even for lan.
