i have a problem, i am trying to run the mod zombotron and whenever i load the mod, as soon as im in the menu it says: Exceeded limit of 850 'menu' assets and then freezes.
i have seen one fix to the problem and that was to download the version 1.1 and that i had 1.0 . but what version 1.1 do i download? if its a patch i dont know where to download it i searched it up, i found nothing. please help!

You need to upgrade the game itself, and assets.

Do you use Steam copy?

no, i used disk based but for some reason i didnt need steam.
