I still play Carbon/Most Wanted: Black Edition/Underground 1 & 2

You should, carbon is actually better on PC, so much easier to control drifting and what not.

Yes, I used to play Underground 2, Most Wanted 1 and Carbon some years ago, fantastic games, specially Carbon.

I am playing Shift and World.

I found Shift to be really boring, I liked Carbon and MW because they had free-roam, and better customization options and stuff.

Nowadays I'm started to play Undercover, I like it, cuz it have freeroam and I like the controls, it isn't a simulator style as in Shift and others.

Shift is good, you just should think of it like of NON-nfs game. Just random racing game.
