Full Version: WaW MP AI bots?

How do the MP AI dogs work in WaW, when it comes to mapping? Because in the scripts (at least in black ops) it's basically just forcing the actor to spawn.


The reason why I'm wondering is because theoretically, if you spawned a zombie on a MP WaW map, you could have zombies in MP. Unfortunately, the AI system seem to be hardcoded.

Kinda wrong section... but as there's no WaW section, and the thread is probably gonna turn into spam, why not?
pretty sure they use waypoints, but when they detect player within some meters radius, they start to attack him, but that's just my theory

What would happen if you placed a zombie actor in a custom multiplayer WaW map, and spawned him through the script?

Well there is only 1 way to find out...
Pretty sure the spawnactor() function is just hard-coded for dogs only (and the animations AFAIK)

In mods people replaced the dog animations with zombie animations and just set the zombie model to the dog, although pawning a zombie in MP without anything else would most likely not work.
