Great job, but i have a question. If I install these backgrounds on my dedicated server will clients that join our server see these images. Or are these just meant for personal backgrounds when joining games.

No its not mods so only that clients are installed these backgrounds can see the image .

I use this CRC fixer and so i think its better than other so you can wait if i found other one i will post here for you.

The whole problem here is that the background images in mw3 are in RGB8

(same for background_image_blur_less.iwi)
And the converter that is attached to this post cant even convert RGB8 to .iwi

(i have absolutely no idea how he did it in the video)
So what we need is a dds to iwi converter that can also convert RGB8 dds files to iwi
(or RGB8 to DXT1or5 converter is also possible, because then you can convert is with this cod4 converter)

used the one you used in the video, but it still dont work i get a error, without text, colour and quit button. :/

what image you use to covert? give me it so i will try to convert it.

im just showing you that the converter your providing isnt even able to convert a RGB8 image (which is the background image)

I did /(tried because your video is 1pixel x 1 pixel) everyting you did in the video and its not working (cannot convert your dds file error, and i already explained why that error is there )

If your converting Fail so you can use other method....

you can convert RGB to DXT1 ro XDT5.

pleas use your brain and do exactly what i do:

as you see i first selected one file with .iwi format (mw3).
so the format of this file is RGB and when you try to convert to dds, it is
converted wtih RGB so the ddstoiwi convertor can not converted this format
so every thing you must to do ---> you must save the dds file with paint.net with DXT format
such as do in video.

then you can convert the dds to iwi (don't forget you must use CRC fixer to skip the
different file form server error )
