Does anyone have experience of working with Source SDK or just mapping in basic? UDK, CryEngine? Somebody??

Made a couple maps for CSS with Hammer and a few SOF2 maps in Radiant.
Mapping basics:
1. Make a big fucking cube without any holes (or light will escape and the game will fuck up)
2. Make the map inside the big fucking cube
3. ????
4. Profit
Does anyone else think the '???? profit' shit is getting old?
