----
Here's a (very long) summary of what was told in the briefing videos (all written by me, not copy and pasted Wink):
  • Call of Duty: Endowment, a non-profit organisation that funds real troops fighting at war
  • $1 million tournament prize
  • Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish
  • There are 4 principles that all COD games are based on
    - 'Epic Realism', the balance between real world authenticity and those 'holy shit' moments of blockbuster movies
    - The ultimate adrenaline rush
    - Easy to play but hard to master
    - 60 FPS
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer Trailer
  • Aim Down Sights, Perks, Killcams, Levelling up became a part of FPS standards because of COD
  • Spec Ops now has levelling up (progression system) for the first time ever
  • Emblems and titles earned in Spec Ops go with you in Multiplayer
  • Call of Duty: Elite 'helps you play together better'
  • 'Most profound editions and changes' to the core Multiplayer in MW3 than any other COD
  • The most 'balanced' multilayer they have ever made
  • In MW2, there was a large different between an expert and a newcomer. The newcomer would get his ass kicked all the time.
  • No One Man Army OMA (@Yamato), no game ending moves, no shotguns as secondary, no commando, no last stand.
  • Revamped killstreak system (what they now call Strike Packages)
  • Killstreaks were originally optimized for TDM but now you can gain points from objectives to gain your pointstreak reward.
  • You can now customise your rewards in 1 of 3 strike packages (Assault, Support and Specialist)
    - Assault is designed for people who like big body counts (like the KS system in MW2)
    - Support is designed for helping the team win. Rewards such as UAV, Sam Turrets and Recon Drones are available. Your killstreak does not reset when you die.
    - Specialist is where your kills come in forms of perks. 8 kills with unlock and activate every perk available but if you die it resets. This will test players.
  • Weapon proficiecies allow you to level up your weapon of choice, like the same way you do. You have the choice of how you want to make your weapon better for example, by reducing sway (earn the Stability efficiency) or reduce recoil (earn the Kick efficiency).
  • More private match options (like in Black Ops)
    - Restricting class/weapon loadouts
    - Create your own gamemodes which can be shared, commented, re-posted via Call of Duty Elite
  • New gametype: Kill Confirmed. A person will drop dogtags and to increase your team's points you have to pick up his dogtags and 'confirm the kill'. If your buddy drops the dogtags then you can run and pick it up before the enemy does and deny the kill.
  • Prestige Shop. Let's you choose how you are rewarded for prestiging.
  • Universal Player Card with all your COD career stats.
  • In-game loyalty rewards for every game back to COD4 (incl. WaW, MW2 and BO)
  • Dual-scopes in Multiplayer
  • New gametype: Team Defender
  • 6 Team Multiplayer maps that are also playable in Spec Ops
  • Facebook integration. Invite your friends, find new ones, etc. You can join a group on Facebook and all of the members will appear on the friends list.
  • Create your own private clans, invite people, create schedules and have a MOTD.
  • Call of Duty: Elite:
    - Call of Duty: Elite will be accessible from the web, from your phone and in-game.
    - In MW3 you will be able to do all the web features in-game
    - Applications for iPhone, iPad and Android are being developed that are designed specifically for them
    - For example, you were owned last night in MP. You take a look at the map, who is owning you or watch a training video. You change your loadout according to what you have learnt (or try the same loadout as your enemy). In a click of a button (or a couple of swipes) and your loadout will be waiting in-game when you get home.
    - There are many free features that are available when you buy the game (console, stats, KDR, clans leaderboards, clan membership, theatre mode, trophies, etc)

    - Premium membership:
Annual premium members get all DLC content for the year first and more often (20 DLC packs for MW3). In the past, there were 4 DLC packs per year, now there are DLC packs every month during the 9 month DLC season. Packs include maps for Spec Ops too.

Premium members can level up their clan and get 8x more space to share videos in HD. They also get expert strategy analysis from the best player in the world that will be constantly updated.

Some shows include Friday Night Fights that allows real life rivals (such as a fireman and a cop) battle it out in MW3.
