The video highlights the Frostbite 2 Engine, which is just looking more and more amazing. The developers have placed emphasis on the following categories with BF3: animation, destruction, audio, scale (typical of the Battlefield franchise as I'm sure you know), rendering. The updated version of perhaps the most popular BF2 map ever, "Karkand", also features in the video.
