Hello
I have a problem with FFViewer, I am trying to do weapon hex modifications, but when I finish with the edit, I have to save them, with the hex program and with the FFViewer, but with FFViewer I always get an error while saving. I tried simplier things, and I cant manage to save things in FF Viewer, somebody knows how?
Try to copy the code and save it with notepad.

Not posible, is hex code what I am editing and want to save.
I think I tried something like this a year ago or something.. I think my conclusion was that it didn't work for the PC version of mw2.

I saw craigchrist weapon research tutorial in se7ensins to edit guns, he opens patch_mp.ff with FFViewer to get the extracted patch_mp.dat or however is called, he modifies then with hex workshop or other program the extracted file, then, when he finishes, he saves and then he saves again with FF Viewer to mix the patch.mp.ff and the extracted one toghether again. I hope you understanded, if not, I give you link.
I tried, and weapon name and stuff only appear after extracting file, not before

1. FF Viewer decrypts/unpacks .ff file
2. Hexedit file
3. FF Viewer encrypts/packs .ff file

Yamato is it correct that you open first the ff file in FF Viewer. Then you open the extracted file in hex editor and close FF Viewer. In Hex Editor you save your changes and open FF Viewer and open the extracted file. After that you press save in FF Viewer?
