Singleplayer is fun, but it's laggy for some reason. Multiplayer feels good, it's fast, still call of duty. Probably same level as blops 1 and 2.
I'm enjoying it because I had a long break from CoD, don't think I would've liked it much if I played last years call of duties.

I didn't get any CoD since MW3, do you think BO3 is worth it, or should I start at some earlier CoD? We're talking campaign here too, of course.

Best zero day release in years , MP is smooth and all the things most people want are there and work.
im happy with the job they did and if we get full modtools who cares if not 100% what we need for competitive gaming right now coz we'll make promod & do some awesome shit with this engine aswell

Rendflex well, you already know my answer.
If the singleplayer is really important to you, you could wait a bit to see if they'll improve the performance on it. But I would definitely get the game (at some point).
Also, it's still worth it to play the campaigns of the older CoDs, they're all a lot of fun imo.
Probably not gonna get it before the modtools are about to come out
