I'm not sure how I would make them explode when hit on a C4. I could make the player explode on getting hit anywhere on the body though.

It's the only C4 model I can find.
And I don't think it lights with red. I think the light is added with the crossbow trail fx (the one i use in roll 99 - Paintball)
