I own the game, but I haven't played since the release month.

I had ~15 RL friends playing this. They also stopped within one month, @Pozzuh
Is that game really that bad?

The game isn't bad, it's just really repetitive.

If you are playing for PvE, yes it's repetitive, but WvW is a different senario.
