after android flash, sd card and sim don't work anymore
#1
Since we don't have a android section (yet) (*wink* *wink*)
I'm going to post this here.

So yesterday I flashed my galaxy s (GT-I9000) to a ICS ROM and it went all fine, but it had a standby bug which caused it to completely shutdown every time I turned the phone into standby
Also, External SD card and SIM (it didnt connect to any mobile networks anymore) didn't work anymore.
So I was like okay, ICS is nice, but it's to buggy right now, so i'll flash it to cm7 (cyanogen)
But when I booted it with CM7, the External SD & SIM were still broken :\
So I got no idea what to do now...

External SD works from CWM recovery, yes, so it's not the card

Do you see the IMEI in settings?

Before you flashed back did you do:
- Wipe data
- Wipe system
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik

Did you do a recovery -> backup before you did this?

If you were S-Off you should have been able to do a recovery backup
before you did anything.

If you didn't, then you're going to have to flash it with a stock rom
and bring it back to normal before you go to another rom/kernel.

Edit:

Flashing rom/kernel to rom/kernel doesn't work very often, I have found
that I have to go back to a backup (if you did the recovery backup option) and
if not then its always been back to stock rom.

Another Edit:

I bricked an EVO going from rom to rom without a clean restore in between.
