Ok so please comment on my work flow

Export from your tools as .ma open maya 2008 and import the .ma then i can export as .fbx or something to 3ds max ? what bind script are you talking about?

Also can I use maya2012 and open the .ma file or does it have to be Maya2008

o.0 are you looking at puting these models back into cod? if so why use 3ds max anyways Confused

it all depends what you want to do with the model if you dont want it back in cod then yes you can use what ever maya to open the .ma , the bind script is the .MEL file that is made when you export a .MA file its in the same folder as the exported model just drag the .MEL file into the viewport of maya and that will load it.

Na I'm poring the cod content over to the Source Engine and I don't really work with maya since I have had 10 years experience with Max. But I guess I need to install Maya now Sad anyway the export program rocks !

I don't have any experince with 3DS Max or it's format's, So I don't rly have any plans to write code to write 3DS formats.

Ok i installed Maya imported the .ma file and dragged in the .mel though the bones dont deform them mesh still is it something I'm doing wrong?

ah wait somehow it worked after dragging the script in again

One more question when I import it the smoothing groups are gone

[Image: mTwe.png] anyway to fix this without adding modifiers

I can't see the textures Sad I only saw once with hazmat fullbody :/

make sure you have all textures "iwi's" in your raw/images folder this program dose not do that for you ,,yet.

Btw when I want to use one of the heads, the console says it needs some images. but they aren't in who cod bo map WTF :S
